Mexican temperatures, Mexican food, right here in New Minas!

We finally have some warm weather!  And it is just right for enjoying our Mexican dishes this week.  The patio is open and would be just right for enjoying your evening meal alfresco.  And don't forget to try our cocktail of the week, which is margarita.  If beer is your thing, try out the Dos Equis.  We have a spectacular wine menu as well.

Appetizer

Stuffed Grilled Jalapenos $9

Jalapeno peppers split and stuffed with cheese and salsa verde, sprinkled in bacon and grilled.  Served with sour cream

Salsa & Guac $11

Quad-coloured corn tortilla chips.  Served with house-made salsa cruda and fresh guacamole

 

Main Course

Chicken Quesadillas

Chicken Quesadillas $16

A sautée of chicken, salsa cruda and spices, topped with Monterey Jack cheese and sautéed peppers and onions, baked between flour tortillas.  Served with sour cream, guacamole and Mexican corn salad

Fish Tacos $17

A crisp taco shell stuffed with grilled shrimp escabeche, salsa, pickled red onion and cucumbers; a soft taco shell stuffed with pan-fried halibut, avocado, cilantro aioli, tomato and lettuce

Dessert

Chocolate-Ancho Crème Brûlée $8

Rich dark Cacao Barry chocolate accented with spicy ancho pepper, blended and baked into a smooth creamy custard, sprinkled with sugar and caramelized

Mexican Churros $8

Light and fluffy Spanish dough fried golden and tossed in cinnamon and sugar.  Served with dark chocolate ganache for dipping
