It's Apple Blossom time! It's Cajun week! Let's party!

Seriously, could the timing be any better for Apple Blossom weekend?  McGill's is THE spot to be this weekend.  Not only is it Cajun week, which is pretty exciting on its own, but we're talking mardi gras time!  Yes sirrr-eeeee, Saturday evening come to McGill's to enjoy our Cajun cookin' and then continue the party upstairs at The Junkyard!  But remember to wear beads.  Why?  You wear beads, your first drink upstairs is half price.  It's sure to be lots of fun this Saturday at McGill's and The Junkyard!  Come on in, the gators are friendly!

Making its rare appearance only in months with a fifth week, the Cajun menu is always a fun treat.  If you are looking to try something different, this is the week to do it.  Oysters, crab cakes, gumbo, jambalaya . . . definitely not your everyday food.  And just in case you had your heart set on trying frogs' legs, the kitchen assures me they have some.  So, no excuses.  I love the spiciness of this food.  It's just fun, fun, fun!  And we all need just a little more fun in our lives, right?

Fancy a curry?

Ok, I totally gave this week's menu away in the title, didn't I?  You're right, we are featuring Indian cuisine this week.  If you are a bit unsure of what to try, our knowledgeable wait staff can help.  I would suggest trying perhaps the chicken korma initially as it is very mild.  However, if you like it slightly hotter, we can make that happen for you too.   I love the aloo tikki as a starter, with or without the sweet chili sauce.  As for dessert, well . . . you can't go wrong with either choice.  And remember McGill's is fully licensed with Garrison beer on tap, bottled beer and an excellent selection of wines.  Or try a cocktail.  Finish off with an excellent specialty coffee.

Mango Mousse Tart

All our dishes are freshly prepared, but the wait is definitely worth it!  Come in and try some of our Indian cuisine.  You will not be disappointed.  Give us a call on (902) 681-3225 and let us reserve a table for you.  Reservations are encouraged.  This is relaxed dining in an intimate atmosphere.  And remember to check us out in the Scoops magazine distributed in your flyers.  You'll find us at 18 Kentucky Court, New Minas.  We'd love to have you join us.

Here is what we have to offer you this week:

First of May . . . bring on the flowers! And the Italian menu!

Tiramisu
Can you believe that we are already at the first of May!  The nice weather is here at last, which makes everyone a lot happier.  And because it's a new month, this also means it's Italian week at McGill's.  And everyone loves this week.  We're offering you spaghettini bolognaise, but if you're a bit more adventurous and want to try something "new to you," I can highly recommend the gnocchi.  This is available either as an appetizer or a main.  The Marsala pappardelle . . . also excellent!  Just having a quick scan of this menu, and I can safely say I can highly recommend any of the dishes.  I've tried them all.  Why not make McGill's your date night destination this week.  Or make it a family dinner.

Don't forget our patio is open now and while it may yet be a bit chilly in the evening for dining out, you could stop by for lunch and soak up the sun.  Enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer.  Or maybe even sangria.  Lots of options for you.  Come and check us out!
