Enjoy a visit to the Med this week at McGill's!

We're offering you some of the finest European cuisine this week in the form of our Mediterranean menu.  So flavourful and such a healthy diet in general.  Our chef and his team have truly perfected these dishes.  Whatever your choice, you will not be disappointed.  And because of the nature of this food, you won't leave with that overly-full, bloated feeling.  Pictured here is the lamb souvlaki.

Treat yourself and the whole family with a relaxing, tranquil evening out this week at McGill's.  We have a great wine selection, Garrison beer on tap and cocktails.  Finish off your meal with a specialty coffee. 

As always, this menu is offered on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5.00pm until 8.00pm.  Fine dining in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.  Give us a call on (902) 681-3225 and let us reserve a table for you.  We are located at 18 Kentucky Court, New Minas.  And remember, our cuisine is always freshly prepared and well worth the wait.

Here is what we have to offer you this week:

Appetizer:

Dolmades
Short-grain rice and fresh herbs wrapped in tender grape leaves and simmered gently in a flavourful chicken broth.  Served with tzatziki

Caldo Verde 
Portuguese soup of kale, potatoes and smoked sausage.  Served with a side of hot sauce

Tabbouleh
Bulger wheat tossed with fresh tomatoes, onions, herbs and a light honey-lemon dressing

Main Course:

Spanakopita
Spinach, onions and feta cheese wrapped in flaky phyllo pastry.  Served with rosemary aioli and a salad of baby greens

Shrimp with Romesco Sauce
Grilled black tiger shrimp with a roasted red pepper almond sauce.  Served with saffron couscous and Chef's select vegetables

Lamb Souvlaki
Large pieces of lamb marinated in olive oil, lemon juice and oregano, then skewered and grilled on our char broiler.  Served with tzatziki, pita bread and wilted spinach with olives

Dessert:

Pistachio Ice Cream
Rich pistachio crème glace.  Served with a crisp sesame cookie

White Chocolate Bavarian Mousse
Creamy white chocolate infused with hazelnut liqueur and folded whipped cream.  Served with a hazelnut tuile 

Baklava
Baked layers of butter-drenched phyllo pastry with spiced and chopped nuts; then, when still warm, soaked in a honey-lemon syrup
