Pack your bags! We're off to the Med!

This is my hide-away this week.  What a view, eh?  Just look at the colour of that water!  I think I'll sit here for a while and let time pass me by.  I've got my bottle of red wine so I'm good.  :-) 
We're off to the sunny and hot climes of the Mediterranean this week, bringing you some fabulous dishes for your enjoyment.  Remember, this is one of the healthy diets so it's all good!  We would like to invite you to join us on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5.00pm until 8.00pm.  Fine dining in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.  Give us a call on (902) 681-3225 and let us reserve a table for you.  We are located at 18 Kentucky Court, New Minas.  And remember, our cuisine is always freshly prepared.

Here is what we have to offer you this week:

Appetizer:

Zucchini Keftedes
Pan-fried zucchini and feta cheese fritters topped with Mediterranean yogurt and fresh dill

Saganaki
Pan-seared Greek cheese, flambéed back of house and finished with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, and plated with a spicy tomato glaze

Main Course:

Chicken Souvlaki
Tender chicken breast marinated in olive oil, lemon juice and oregano, then skewered and grilled on our char broiler.  Served with a yogurt garlic sauce and wilted spinach with olives

Spanakopita
Spinach, onions, and feta cheese wrapped in flaky phyllo pastry. Served with rosemary aioli and a salad of baby greens

Roasted European Sea Bass

Local, farm raised European sea bass, roasted and topped with a tomato and olive salad. Served with saffron and toasted almond couscous and Chef’s select vegetables

Dessert:


Galaktoboureko

Divine combination of creamy custard and flaky phyllo dough that is baked to golden perfection then drenched with a lemon and orange infused syrup

Pistachio Ice Cream
Rich pistachio crème glace served with a crisp sesame cookie
