Indian Week at McGill's!

This is definitely the week you need to come to McGill's to try out our new Indian menu!  We have completely new dishes!  It's an exciting time to visit us.  And the weather is set to cooperate this weekend, meaning you could sit out on the patio to enjoy your evening meal.

McGill's is fully licensed with Garrison beer on tap, bottled beer and an excellent selection of wines.  Or try a cocktail.  Finish off your meal with an excellent specialty coffee.

Appetizer:

Cachumber Salad $11

Julienne of red onion, cucumber, sweet bell peppers, carrot and coriander.  Served with parsley oil and spicy Tabasco vinaigrette

Main Course:

Chicken Tandoori $21

Chicken thighs seasoned with a blend of Tandoori spices and oven-roasted.  Served with ritha sauce, geera rice, sauteed onion, jalapeños and cilantro

Dessert:

Payas Pudding $8

Cashews and pistachio nuts with raisins with a cardamom-accented pudding

Mexican fiesta time at McGill's!

Grab those sombreros and head to McGill's this week for some Mexican treats!   The weather is perfect for enjoying your dinner on the patio with a few drinks.  It's the best way to pass a beautiful evening with family or friends.  Remember McGill's has an excellent wine list, Garrison beer on tap as well as domestic and imported beers.  Make sure you ask your server about our cocktails.  And finish off your meal with a specialty coffee.

Appetizer

Stuffed Grilled Jalapenos $9

Jalapeno peppers split and stuffed with cheese and salsa verde, sprinkled in bacon and grilled.  Served with sour cream

Salsa & Guac $11

Quad-coloured corn tortilla chips.  Served with house-made salsa cruda and fresh guacamole

 

Main Course

Chicken Quesadillas $18

A sautée of chicken, salsa cruda and spices, topped with Monterey Jack cheese and sautéed peppers and onions, baked between flour tortillas.  Served with sour cream, guacamole and Mexican corn salad

Fish Tacos $19

A crisp taco shell stuffed with grilled shrimp escabeche, salsa, pickled red onion and cucumbers; a soft taco shell stuffed with pan-fried halibut, avocado, cilantro aioli, tomato and lettuce

Dessert

Chocolate-Ancho Crème Brûlée $8

Rich dark Cacao Barry chocolate accented with spicy ancho pepper, blended into a smooth creamy custard, sprinkled with sugar and caramelized

Mexican Churros $8

Light and fluffy Spanish dough fried golden and tossed in cinnamon and sugar.  Served with dark chocolate dipping ganache

It's June and Italian Week!

June already!  Where is the year going?  Ok, as you may be aware, the start of a new month brings our Italian-themed menu around.  Simply delicious comfort food!  And with any kind of luck, the temperatures and weather will hold out, enabling you to enjoy your meal on our patio.  What a perfect way to pass a relaxing evening with friends and family!  Toss in a pitcher of sangria, a few beers or cocktails, a bottle of wine, and your evening is complete.  McGill's has definitely got you covered on all counts.

Grilled olive oil-brushed Italian bread with fresh tomato mixed with garlic, basil and olive oil.  Topped with Parmigianino-Reggiano cheese

Calamari alla menta 
Fresh calamari marinated with egg yolks and cream, dredged in bread crumbs and lightly fried.  Topped with fresh lemon and mint

Sally's Gnocchi di Formaggio

Gorgonzola, Romano and Swiss cheese blended together for a very rich cheese sauce, tossed with fresh gnocchi.  Topped with grated Parmesan cheese

Main Course:

Spaghettini Bolognaise

Fresh-made egg pasta tossed in a tomato-based meat sauce.  Topped with Parmigianino-Reggiano cheese

Marsala Pappardelle  
Fresh house-made pasta with sautéed mushrooms.  Finished in a rich Marsala wine cream sauce

Dessert:

Tiramisu
Layers of house-made lady fingers drizzled in Amaretto liquor between rich Zabaglione marsala cream.  Topped with whipped cream and sprinkled in cocoa powder
