Who's ready for Cajun cookin'?

This is my favourite fun week by far - writing the blog is entertaining, finding the perfect image to show you makes me giggle!  I mean, doesn't our fabulous Chef, Daniel Craig (affectionately known as our very own Bond) look fetching here?  You're doing a fine job there, Bond!

You may have guessed by now, but I'll let you in on the secret just in case you haven't.  We are bringing you our Cajun cookin' as it's the fifth week in the month.  It's just fun, fun, fun all the way.  The last time we featured the Cajun menu was May, and I have to say the dishes were superb!  I even tried the frogs' legs.  I swear, if you didn't see what you were eating, you'd think it was chicken.  Who's brave enough to try them?  Both the jambalaya and the gumbo are fantastic with just the right amount of heat.  This time around I'm going to try the fish.

Are you going to be joining us?  I do hope so.  I guarantee the food will be spectacular, the atmosphere cozy and intimate, making for a relaxed dining experience.  Or why not enjoy your evening on the patio and make the most of our quickly disappearing summer nights.  And remember you can enjoy this flavourful cuisine three nights this week - Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5.00pm until 8.00pm.  All our dishes are freshly prepared, but the wait is so worth it!

You don't want to miss your opportunity to try some Cajun cooking.  Your next chance won't roll around again until November.  Give us a call on (902) 681-3225 and let us reserve a table for you.  Reservations are strongly encouraged.  You'll find us at 18 Kentucky Court, New Minas.  We'd love to have you join us.

Holiday on the French Riviera!

Here we are!  This is the little cottage I've booked for our vacation on the French Riviera.  Isn't it just beautiful!  What a view!

We're spending some time in the Med this week.  At least we'd be well adjusted to the hot temperatures, right?  McGill's has a fabulous patio for you to kick-back and relax on and enjoy an evening of Mediterranean cuisine.  It's the perfect way to spend a summer evening!  This cuisine makes you feel so good afterwards as it is not heavy food, and if you enjoy a glass of wine with it (I've said it before, I'll say it again--this diet includes wine, so it's all good!), you'll feel even better.  We may even be able to fetch you some sangria if you so desire.

Why not slow things down a bit and join us for supper this week.  We have the perfect setting.  As always, this menu is offered on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5.00pm until 8.00pm.  Fine dining in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.  Give us a call on (902) 681-3225 and let us reserve a table for you.  We are located at 18 Kentucky Court, New Minas.  And remember, our cuisine is always freshly prepared and worth the wait.

It's margarita time!

Who am I kidding?  Any time is margarita time, but this week is especially so as we're off to Mexico.  This menu is exceptional and our chef does an amazing job with these dishes.  I can highly recommend the stuffed jalapenos, any of the mains, and for the dessert?  The chocolate crème brûlée is absolutely out of this world!  You will have tasted nothing like this before!  It finishes your meal off brilliantly.  Maybe the weather will cooperate and you can dine on our patio.  McGill's is certainly the spot to dine this week!
We are giving you the opportunity to share this dining experience with us on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5.00pm until 8.00pm.  Spicy, but not overly so, and flavourful dishes await you.  You will not be disappointed, I guarantee it.  Always freshly prepared, our cuisine will have you coming back for more and eagerly anticipating Mexican week each time it rolls around.

Enjoy fine dining in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.  Give us a call on (902) 681-3225 and let us reserve a table for you.  We are located at 18 Kentucky Court, New Minas. We'd love to have you join us.
